Hi, I’m Darlene Marshall
A coach with nearly a decade of experience helping people transform their lives through evidence-based action.
(That means the strategies are backed by research to make sure they work)
I wasn’t always like this…
I suffered trauma growing up and in my early 20s was diagnosed with a chronic illness.
I was told I couldn’t get better...
That I’d have a life of physical pain, frustration, and living on my couch...
At 23 I was told to settle...
I’m not the settling kind.
I learned everything I could,
hard lessons earned by trial and error...
It took many years... but I gradually got better & better.
In my late 20s I became a personal trainer.
I've spent the last 8 years specializing in other people who have chronic illness or traumatic injuries...
I love to help people learn to do things they didn’t think they could.
Along the way I earned certifications in nutrition coaching, habit change, meditation, yoga, Neurolinguistic Programming, and Motivational Interviewing ~ each one another tool to help my clients grow.
Around this time I ended a 12 year marriage and had to face some challenging truths about myself... those truths being:
Who I am and who I was pretending to be.
I got lost in the journey of “self help”...
Often frustrated wasting time on techniques that were vague and confusing.
I wanted real help in learning how to care for myself in deep, meaningful ways.
That’s how I found Positive Psychology ~ the study of well-being.
What I found changed the course of my life.
I became the first Certified Personal Trainer to earn a Master’s Degree at the world renowned Applied Positive Psychology program from the University of Pennsylvania.
My focus from the very start has been a holistic approach tovitality, lifestyle change, and what it means to care for yourself.
Connecting to your purpose and live a full, fulfilling, and truly happy life.

Self Care Reboot is different because it’s a skills & knowledge based program. That means the lessons are designed to guide you through not only the “what to do”, but the “how to know” what to do. The focus is on teaching you a lasting skillset, so as your life circumstances change you know how to change with them.

Outside of our weekly coaching sessions, we will be reflecting on your progress via a shared client and coach log. Ongoing feedback will be key to your success in my program and ensuring you make adjustments as needed. All located in the same app as your lessons!
